Creggs Asphalt Pty Ltd Supply deliver and lay sub base to specified depths to client requirements. We achieve this precision laying to specified levels with use of our various Pavers carefully chosen for the job. Our Range of Pavers can work from as little as 800mm wide up to 5000mm wide per single pass. The accuracy of depths and finish levels can be achieved quickly and efficiently by applying base course in this method. Asphalt must have a sound and well compacted base to ensure a long lasting surface. Much of the deterioration that form in existing asphalt is often found to be due to an insufficient base course. We undertake the site preparation in conjunction with your Asphalt project ensuring the life span of the product.
Regulating – Quite often, a surfacing job will involve laying over an existing substrate. When this is simply a matter of laying a new surface course on top of a pre-existing base, the levels of the existing base may be low and may require ‘building-up’ which may be confined to defined locations. Regulating may involve laying 10-30mm of additional material over an existing sub-layer to prepare the sub base for final layer application. This prevents the likelihood of water pooling at these locations and allows the appropriate cross falls and drainage measures to be achieved.
